The Marula Presets

The Marula Presets are a much more gentle version of our “Classic” & “Kilimanjaro” presets. It focuses more on keeping the overall colors closer to reality than to art – and there’s definitely a time and place for these. Being a much lighter base preset in terms of exposure, it’s a fantastic starting point even for evening shots.

Skin Boost

The skin boost tool brightens and warms up the oranges and reds in the image so that the skin tones pop quite a bit more. It’s a great little tweak to play with to decide whether you need to increase your White Balance or to go for an isolated bump in warm tones with this tool.

Reduce Vibrancy

While this may sound like a tool that simply drops the vibrance slider, that isn’t the case. This tool reduces the vibrance by tweaking the calibration sliders – allowing you even more control from as a starting point. It reduces the strong, sort of electric colors that may come out when you’re increasing your white balance.

Green Drop

Because the main preset works doesn’t change the overall Hue of the tones as dramatically as our other presets, we found that in some cases the Greens got a little too dominant. With this nifty little fix, you can “drop the greens” with the click of a button and immediately know whether it works or not.
